Stanislava Stoytcheva is a Bulgarian pianist, composer, and singer. In 1989, she won the International Grand Prix for Composition in Nagoya, Japan. After completing her studies in piano, composition, and jazz singing in Sofia, Bulgaria, her passion for exploring the expressive dimensions of the human voice led her to Munich, where she pursued a degree in concert and opera singing at the Academy of Music. During her studies, she was already engaged as a young soloist at the Bavarian State Opera, performing under the direction of renowned conductors such as Zubin Mehta, Fabio Luisi, Adam Fischer, Ivor Bolton, Enrique Mazzola, and others.

Stanislava Stoytcheva has collaborated extensively with prestigious orchestras, including the Bavarian State Opera, Festival Orchestra Stuttgart, Nagoya Philharmonic, Sofia State Opera, and the New International Philharmonic. She has performed all around the World with solo programs as a composer and performer, earning numerous awards.

Stanislava Stoytcheva was a longtime member of the Yehudi Menuhin organization, Live Music Now.

Between 2020 and 2022, she worked on three recording projects, including her debut album, “Barber Songs,” released in September 2022. She also recorded Jorge Calandrelli’s piano compositions, which the composer produced and will soon be released as an album. During this period, her orchestral works were recorded under the direction of Andrew Cottee at the legendary Abbey Road Studios in London.

In recent years, she has devoted herself extensively to project work, combining all her skills to address various contemporary themes. One of her projects led her to the Theological Academy of the Vatican, where she performed her musical setting of texts from Solomon’s Song of Songs. Most recently, she composed “A Birthday” for the “Among Whirlwinds” project for the vocal ensemble Singer Pur, which aims to highlight female composers from around the world. This CD project was awarded the Opus Klassik Prize in 2022.

In 2023, Stanislava Stoytcheva was invited as Composer in Residence to the Singer Pur Days at Adlersberg, Regensburg, where she premiered three new compositions written specifically for the vocal ensemble Singer Pur.

Her music is broadcast on stations such as BBC, BR, and NDR.
